Resolute Corp is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our growing data team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with 1-3 years of experience who wants to develop their skills in data engineering and cloud technologies. The Data Engineer will assist in building, maintaining, and optimizing our data pipelines, supporting the company’s data architecture, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Data Pipeline Development and Maintenance:
Assist in building and maintaining ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to ingest and process data from various sources.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency throughout the pipelines.
Work with senior engineers to improve the efficiency and scalability of existing data workflows.
Data Integration:
Collaborate with the data engineering team to integrate data from multiple sources (internal and vendor platforms) into centralized databases or data lakes.
Support data architects and engineers in managing the flow of data across systems.
Database Management and Cloud Infrastructure:
Assist in managing databases and cloud infrastructure, ensuring that data is stored securely and efficiently.
Work with cloud platforms like AWS , Azure , or Google Cloud to support data storage, processing, and analytics.
Participate in monitoring and optimizing database performance, identifying potential issues and resolving them proactively.
Data Governance and Security:
Support the implementation of data governance policies and procedures to ensure data privacy and compliance.
Assist in enforcing data security protocols, ensuring sensitive data is protected.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
Participate in cross-functional team meetings, contributing insights and updates on data engineering tasks.
Learning and Development:
Continuously develop skills in data engineering, cloud technologies, and best practices in data management.
Learn and apply new technologies and tools as needed, under the guidance of senior engineers and the Data Architect.
Qualifications
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Information Technology , or a related field.
Relevant certifications in data engineering, cloud platforms, or database management are a plus.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience as a Data Engineer
Familiarity with SQL and Python for querying, transforming, and analyzing data.
Experience with ETL processes and data integration is preferred.
Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS , Azure , or Google Cloud is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Programming : Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python, SQL, and possibly other programming languages like Java or Scala .
ETL Tools : Experience or familiarity with ETL tools like Apache Airflow , Talend , or AWS Glue .
Database Systems : Understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL , MySQL ) and exposure to NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB , Cassandra ).
Cloud Platforms : Familiarity with cloud technologies, preferably Azure .
Data Warehousing : Exposure to data warehousing concepts and tools, preferably Snowflake .
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
