Procurement Associate

Auriant is a fast-growing e-commerce brand specialising in premium home and lifestyle products. As part of our initiative Auriant Artisans , we collaborate with talented artisans and traditional craft producers across India to bring their products to the national market under the Auriant brand.We are seeking a relationship-driven and resourceful Procurement Associate who will serve as Auriant’s on-ground representative, travelling to meet artisans and suppliers, sourcing products, negotiating terms, and ensuring consistent supply.Role ResponsibilitiesArtisan & Supplier EngagementTravel extensively across India to meet artisans, craftsmen, and small manufacturersBuild strong, trust-based relationships with artisan partnersCommunicate clearly regarding product expectations, cost, timelines, and supply capabilitiesCoordinate product sampling, purchase agreements, and catalogue onboardingRepresent Auriant professionally during field visits and negotiationsProcurement & NegotiationEvaluate product quality, craftsmanship, and market suitabilityNegotiate pricing, supply terms, and delivery schedulesEnsure cost-effective procurement while maintaining product quality standardsMaintain structured procurement documentation and supplier recordsCommunication & CoordinationAct as a liaison between Artisans and Auriant Procurement/ Operations DirectorCoordinate with operations and warehousing teams on incoming stockEnsure clarity on delivery quantity, packaging expectations, and delivery deadlinesReport progress, risks, and procurement insights to managementRequirementsFluency in Malayalam, Hindi, and English (preferred)Valid driver’s license requiredWillingness to travel extensivelyStrong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to assess quality and craftsmanshipProfessional, respectful representation of the company at artisan sitesBasic understanding of sourcing, procurement, or field coordination preferredCompensation₹13,000 – ₹20,000 per month (based on skills and experience)Why This Role MattersThis role is key to building Auriant’s artisan ecosystem and supporting local craftsmanship.
