French Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced French Teacher to instruct undergraduate and postgraduate students in both language and culture. The ideal candidate will be confident delivering dynamic, immersive language instruction consistent with university-level academic standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging French language lessons across all skill areas speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
- Design and implement curriculum and lesson plans aligned with CEFR standards (A1C2) and institutional guidelines.
- Prepare students for both internal assessments and external certifications (e.g., DELF, DALF, TEF, TCF).
- Incorporate diverse teaching methods audio-visual aids, role-play, digital tools (e.g., Moodle, Zoom).
- Assess student performance using quizzes, tests, and assignments; offer constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
- Mentor and academically support students; foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Participate in departmental meetings, seminars, workshops, and college events.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Masters degree in French Language, French Literature, Linguistics, or related field.
- Strongly preferred: DELF/DALF certification or equivalent proficiency validation.
- Teaching experience at the college/university level is preferred (especially in adult or higher education).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
- Proficiency in using technology-enhanced teaching tools and platforms (e.g., LMS, video conferencing).
A learner-centric teaching approach with creativity and patience.
Familiarity with CEFR-level instruction (A1 to C2).
- Experience developing or adapting curriculum and content for higher education.
- Ability to teach French for specific needs such as Business French, conversational/survival French, or exam preparation.
- Research experience, pedagogical innovation, or publication in language teaching (especially for Assistant Professor roles).
