About the Job
This position is for a BI Specialist who is responsible for successful delivery of Acentra Health's technology initiatives. Candidates for this role will be working at the intersection of business intelligence and software engineering, building, deploying, and optimizing data warehousing methodologies, with a strong emphasis on Data Modelling, Tableau, and PowerBI.
What you will do
Responsible for developing, enhancing and maintaining the core data processing platforms of the company
Drive business solutions by querying existing databases to create data models for actionable reporting
Create and maintain reporting applications that result in efficient data extraction
Responsible for analyzing healthcare claim and utilization management data to support business intelligence unit
Responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines across various environments
Work with data transformation packages to support data modeling and advanced analytical processing
Query existing databases to pull data necessary for reporting and data transformation
Develop, enhance, and maintain data processing platforms
Work collaboratively with internal and external customers to create business requirements
Identify and develop opportunities for process improvement through data processing, data architecture and performance tuning
Research data discrepancies and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, SSIS packages, data transformations, views and stored procedures
Create scripts for new database objects
Serve as a programming mentor and subject matter expert
Develop complex queries, ETL jobs and data transformation jobs
Who you are:
Education and experience :
Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Computer Science.
4+ proven experience and success in business intelligence.
Technical skills
4+ Proficiency in business intelligence and data warehouse methodologies
4+ Knowledge of database management systems (DBMS)
2+ Senior-level SQL skills,PostgreSQL
Proficiency in Microsoft SQL tools including SSMS, SSRS, SSAS and SSIS
Familiarity with Visual Studio and TFS/Azure DevOps source control
Familiarity with agile methodology
Experience supporting ETL development
Skilled in requirement gathering and documentation
Skilled in data architecture, data modeling, and performance tuning
The candidate should have a robust understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques.
Familiarity with conversational AI technologies, including natural language processing and understanding, is highly desired.
Working knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services (e.g., S3, Redshift, BigQuery)
Prior experience working with healthcare claim and utilization management data
Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, etc.
