Senior Merchandiser

Key Responsibilities

Order Management :Coordinate with buyers and ensure clarity on production requirements including product specs and timelineMonitor the approval process for materials, trims, and accessories to ensure on-time availabilityEnsure all critical paths are managed effectively from order confirmation to shipmentEnsure PCD are met as per TNAData & Documentation :Maintain accurate records of all production data, including order details, material requisitions, and delivery datesEnsure proper documentation of production schedules, order confirmations, and shipping arrangementsManage reports on production efficiency, capacity utilization, and on-time deliveriesCost ManagementAssist in the costing process, including calculating material and production costsNegotiate with suppliers to maintain cost-effectiveness without compromising qualityEnsure all costs align with the agreed budget and marginsMaterial Sourcing & Consumption :Liaise with fabric and trim department to ensure timely delivery and procurement of correct materialsConfirm fabric and material consumption are calculated correctly based on the order specificationFollow-up & Coordination :Work closely with cross-functional teams Quality, Sampling, and Production to ensure seamless order executionAddress production issues, escalating critical concerns to managementConduct regular follow-ups with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and servicesQuality Assurance :Collaborate with the QA team to ensure products meet the company and client quality standardsEnsuring the garment quality meets the client testing standardsProduction Planning :Develop and execute production schedules based on customer orders and forecast demandCoordinate with the production team to allocate capacity and ensure planned cut date are metBalance factory workloads for optimal efficiencyCustomer Communication :Serve as the point of contact for customers regarding orders, delays, and other production-related mattersProvide regular reports to customers, addressing any queries or issuesQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, or a related field3-5 years of experience in PPC or garment merchandisingStrong understanding of garment production processes, from development to shipmentERP systems knowledge preferred, experience or knowledge in FIT software is an added advantageStrong communication, negotiation, mailing and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentWilling to take up challenging taskKey Skills:Production Planning and ControlVendor CoordinationMaterial SourcingCosting & BudgetingKnowledge of Fabric ProcessingKnowledge of Wet Processing, Garment Dyeing, Washing etc.Ability to handle small orders and volume based orders
