Research and Development (R&D) Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Researcher to lead advanced research initiatives in the development of Radar Absorbing Materials (RAM), Radar Cross Section (RCS) reduction technologies, Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) testing, and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) shielding materials. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of electromagnetic theory, materials science, and advanced characterization techniques to drive innovative solutions for stealth technology and electromagnetic compatibility applications. Key Responsibilities: Research and Development: Lead the design, synthesis, and optimization of novel RAMs and EMI shielding materials. Develop advanced methods and technologies for RCS reduction in various applications. Conduct thorough analysis and testing of materials using VNA and other characterization tools. Material Characterization and Testing: Design and execute experiments to evaluate the electromagnetic properties of materials across relevant frequency ranges. Interpret and analyze data from VNA testing to assess material performance and compliance with project requirements. Project Management: Plan and oversee R&D projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to transition research findings into practical applications. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare technical reports, research papers, and patent applications based on research outcomes. Present findings and progress to internal and external stakeholders, including clients and funding agencies. Industry Collaboration: Stay updated on advancements in RAM, RCS reduction, and EMI shielding technologies. Engage with academic and industrial partners to foster collaborations and explore new opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills: Ph.D./Master's Degree (only with significant relevant experience) in Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in research and development, with a focus on RAM, RCS reduction, or EMI shielding. Strong background in electromagnetic theory and computational modeling (e.g., CST, HFSS, or COMSOL). Hands-on experience with VNA testing and other material characterization techniques. Proven track record of publications, patents, or successful project implementations in related fields. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Strong communication skills and ability to present complex ideas effectively to diverse audiences. Preferred Experience: Familiarity with stealth technology applications in aerospace, defense, or automotive sectors. Knowledge of advanced material processing techniques (e.g., nanocomposites, coatings, or additive manufacturing). Experience with regulatory standards related to EMI shielding and stealth technology.
