Role Objective

Mechanical design engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical components and systems. They must thoroughly understand mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes to create innovative, cost-effective solutions to complex engineering problems.

Key Responsibilities

  1. The duties of a mechanical design engineer involve,

  2. Developing 2D/3D models.

  3. Refining designs.
  4. Preparing detailed drawings.
  5. Preparing detailed specifications.
  6. Able to test their designs.
  7. Overseeing the production of components and systems.

  8. BOM Preparation

  9. Conduct tests to ensure the quality of their designs and evaluate the performance of components and systems.

  10. Must be familiar with the latest software and hardware technologies and be able to use them to create efficient and reliable designs.

  11. Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with existing components and systems.

  12. Identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.

  13. Must possess complete knowledge of materials, including,

  14. Metals.

  15. Plastics.
  16. Composites.

Skills required

  • Should be Advanced in CREO Parameters, AutoCAD, Corel Draw, Keyshot
  • Good Knowledge in Injection Moulds, Sheet Metal Fabrication and processes
  • Good Knowledge in Product Design like U/W, Extruction, Chemical Welding, Fasteners, welding, Aesthetic Design, FMEA, etc.
  • Good Knowledge in Free Hand Sketches
  • Good communication and writing skills.
  • Good communication MS Word, Excel & Presentation.
