Design will oversee and lead the interior design team, ensuring the delivery of innovative, high-quality, and client-centric interior design solutions. This position combines creative vision, operational leadership, and strategic input to drive the design department's growth and maintain the company's competitive edge in the interior industry.


Location - Hyderabad, Bangalore


Key Responsibilities: 1. Design Leadership and Strategy:
  • Develop and implement creative strategies to meet client requirements and align with the company’s vision.
  • Lead design teams to deliver innovative and functional design solutions in line with project objectives and budgets.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and design technologies to maintain competitive advantage.
2. Project Management:
  • Oversee multiple design projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on design objectives and deliverables.
  • Conduct regular project reviews to maintain quality and resolve challenges proactively.
3. Team Leadership and Development:
  • Mentor, guide, and inspire the design team, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration.
  • Identify training and development needs to enhance the team’s skills and expertise.
  • Recruit and onboard talented designers to strengthen the department.
4. Client Interaction and Relationship Management:
  • Engage with clients to understand their requirements, preferences, and feedback.
  • Present design concepts, proposals, and solutions effectively to clients and stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
5. Operational Excellence:
  • Establish and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the design department.
  • Monitor resource allocation, ensuring optimal utilization of manpower and tools.
  • Collaborate with procurement and construction teams to align design specifications with execution capabilities.
6. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure all designs comply with applicable building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Conduct quality checks on design outputs to maintain high standards of aesthetics and functionality.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in the interior design industry, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven expertise in residential, commercial, or retail interior design projects.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative and technical capabilities.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Design Expertise: Advanced knowledge of design principles, materials, and trends.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, mentor, and manage diverse teams effectively.
  • Project Management: Proficient in managing complex projects, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite) and visualization software.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication for client presentations and team collaboration.
  • Problem-Solving: Aptitude for identifying and resolving design and operational challenges.
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of budgets, cost estimations, and profitability in the design context.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  • Timely delivery of design projects within budget and scope.
  • Client satisfaction and feedback ratings.
  • Design innovation and awards/recognitions.
  • Team retention and growth metrics.
  • Revenue contribution from the design department.
Work Environment:
  • Based in the office with occasional travel for client meetings and site visits.
  • Dynamic and collaborative workplace with cross-functional team interaction.
Reporting Structure:
  • Reports to: General Manager (GM) / Senior Leadership Team
  • Supervises: Design Managers, Interior Designers, and Support Staff
