Responsibilities MaxLinear is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will focus on the following: Lead development of next generation IEEE 802.11 Wi-Fi based standards based broadband products providing high speed data connectivity Qualifications Deep knowledge of system programming in C in embedded systems Experience in assembly language programming is an added advantage. About 14 years (or more) of relevant experience in WLAN driver/FW development Ability to independently develop and own software modules Experience in managing a team of 10+ engineers and delivering Wi-Fi software releases Experience in working with Customers, Customer Engineering Teams, Product Marketing Teams and translating that into engineering roadmap and delivering to releases Experience in managing customer accounts Expertise in Linux Kernel/Driver development and system level knowledge Experience in Wi-Fi driver development on Linux preferred Experience in Wi-Fi Firmware Development Experience in device drivers/middleware development Experience in integration of Fast path packet processing Experience in analysis of kernel crash dump, rcu stalls, other call traces Deep knowledge of networking, broadband and WLAN protocols Knowledge of open-source community software stacks like OpenWRT, RDKB, Prpl and OpenSync A team player with willingness and ability to work closely with others and create win-win scenarios Knowledge on wireless industry standards (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/ae) and RF will be a strong plus BS in Electrical Engineering or related + 14 years of experience, or MS with 12+ years
