We are seeking a highly motivated Diploma Technician to join our product development teamfocused on food-processing automation machines. The candidate will work across mechanical toolroom operations, machine assembly, testing, basic electrical wiring, and electronic systemintegration. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on fabrication and wants to grow in theautomation and robotics domain.Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Electrical & Electronics (DME / DMECH / DEEE / DECE)Experience: 0–3 years (Freshers with strong practical skills can apply)Location: Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai (Note: The job involves travelling to various vendor locations within India and the candidate should be open to travel)Employment Type: Full-timeKey ResponsibilitiesMechanical Tool Room & FabricationOperate conventional machines such as lathe, milling, drilling, grinding, and shaping machines.Perform fitting, filing, tapping, drilling, and assembly of precision mechanical parts.Assist in machining of prototype components and tool room parts.Work with sheet-metal parts, brackets, fixtures, and custom mechanisms.Support CNC machinists with setup, measurement, and finishing work.Machine Assembly & IntegrationAssemble mechanical modules for food-processing automation machines (conveyors, cutters, feeders, dispensers, heaters, actuators etc.).Support integration of motors, sensors, pneumatic systems, and mechanical sub-assemblies.Perform alignment, calibration, and functional checks of assembled systems.Troubleshoot mechanical issues with guidance from engineers.Electrical & Electronic WorkCarry out basic electrical wiring , termination, cable routing, and soldering.Assist in integration of control panels, motor drivers, sensors, and automation components.Support electrical technicians in panel assembly and testing.Perform continuity checks, basic multi meter diagnostics, and signal verification.Testing, Validation & MaintenanceSupport prototype testing and trial runs for food-processing machines.Document test results, observations, and improvements.Perform preventive maintenance, lubrication, tightening, and part replacement.Ensure cleanliness, safety, and hygiene in work areas (as required for food-grade systems).Skills & CompetenciesTechnical SkillsHands-on experience operating tool room machines.Good understanding of mechanical assembly and fabrication.Basic knowledge of electrical circuits, sensors, and motors.Ability to read engineering drawings (mechanical & wiring diagrams).Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measurement tools (Vernier, micro meter, dial gauge).Additional SkillsProblem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.Ability to work in a development/prototyping environment.Good communication and teamwork skills.Discipline and adherence to safety procedures.Preferred ExperienceExposure to automation, robotics, food-processing machines, or industrial equipment.Prior work in R&D labs, prototype development, or tool room environments.Knowledge of pneumatic systems, stepper/servo motors, and basic electronics.
