QA Testing Analyst


Position Overview:

Reporting to Treasury QA & Testing Senior Advisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for on time delivery of test planning and execution activities in the delivery of Quality Assurance (QA) Testing for new or modified applications / systems across multiple platforms. The QA & Testing Analyst will be a high-performing individual who is methodical, inquisitive and has a passion for quality. They will partner with their Scrum Team and business colleagues on a journey of continuous learning and improvement. This will ensure ongoing optimization of quality first delivery capability in support of key strategic outcomes for our business. This position will work across our Treasury IT Team to deliver successful QA & Testing solutions that enable all methodologies but with a focus on SAFe Agile. You will work with individuals from across the organization, to insure a smooth transition into Production.


Responsibilities:

  • Write test case documents that are derived from user stories for one or more features. Test cases should include positive and negative scenarios as well as test data setup / configuration and expected results.
  • Execute test cases and update finding within Zephyr.
  • Document and track defect/issues within Jira.
  • Contribute to other testing activities such as stress, load, and performance testing where required.
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable test framework components as part of framework improvement and enhancement.
  • Attend and communicate all testing efforts to Lead Project Management.
  • Provide estimates for testing effort-based user stories as part of sprint planning.
  • Contribute and participate in other Agile scrum activities such as PI planning, daily standups, backlog grooming, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the Treasury applications.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
  • Able to work on projects individually and directly with clients.


Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of the Health Insurance Industry
  • Broad knowledge of the Software Delivery Lifecycle with specific expertise of Software Testing
  • Broad knowledge of automated testing and modelling tools
  • Knowledge of building automation and deployment tools such as Jenkins
  • Great knowledge of change management and test case generation techniques
  • Good knowledge of different web browsers like Internet Explorer, Firefox, MS Edge, Chrome
  • Competent user of Microsoft office applications like Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Comfortable working independently, or as part of a team
  • Experience within Agile development environment (Sprint planning, demos and retrospectives, and other sprint ceremonies).
  • Testing and triaging of defects and issues.
  • Efficient with all Test Management tools like JIRA, ZEPHYR, ALM.


Required Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline and at least one to three years’ experience in a system quality environment, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 1 - 3 Yrs. experience in Software QA & Testing
  • Good experience in functional testing of web application, desktop application and mainframe application
  • Good experience of working in all phases of Test Cycle (Test Design, Test Execution, Defect management & reporting)
