Job Title: O-RAN Senior Systems Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineering Architect to join our dynamic team in the telecommunication domain. As a Senior Systems Engineer and Architect, you will be responsible for designing and architecting transformational modernization of Radio Access Network (RAN) solutions for our client that implements the Open RAN (O-RAN) standards. Our core tenets of this modernization revolve around leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI (GenAI) to automate workflows, provisioning and configuration, and to create intelligence in the network to realize the true values of O-RAN solutions for our clients. Included in this role is deep knowledge of Service Management and Orchestration (SMO) and the O-RAN RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC) and related rApps and xApps architectures and functionalities. Your expertise in telecommunication operations and RAN will play a crucial role in developing this architecture, solution, use cases and customer-specific roadmaps.The tasks of the successful candidate will include development and design based on O-RAN architectures, integration services, operations, deployment and support services. The Techo transition is highly dependent on AI and GenAI as enablers for automated workflows, and for decision making without human intervention and creation of new value for our clients based on their use cases for Enterprise and Consumer markets. Additionally, the role will support RFX engagements with key clients orchestrating the responses to O-RAN and related wireless opportunities. The successful Systems Engineer will contribute to thought leadership across the telecommunication market in driving for new technology-led efficiencies and creating new monetization opportunities for carriers and ISVs/NEPs in this ecosystem.Included in the O-RAN domain are use cases and solutions for new consumer and enterprise services leveraging network-specific and federated data.The position will require the ability to leverage AI and GenAI to create new value streams for Techo companies that leverage advanced networking as well as AI/GenAI capabilities to create new end user and operator experiences.Additionally, as the telecommunication and IT enterprise worlds continue to align and integrate, the position will need to create thought leadership on how to integrate new Techo specific applications into open network infrastructures as service-based architectures, to be deployed by our clients. This includes ensuring network and application performance as well as creating new ways for carriers to bill for these new services and use cases.Responsibilities:Collabore with cross-functional teams to define and understand business requirements, translating them into software systems transformation.Design and develop of end-to-end system architectures, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.Integrate GenAI into all aspects of software design, architecture, development methodologies, processes and modernized operational flows.Evaluate and select of appropriate AI, ML, and GenAI algorithms, tools, technologies, and platforms to support network operations software solutions.Lead the implementation and integration of these operations systems for our clients, ensuring intelligent automation leveraging deep learning and GenAI technologies for network management, service management, business operations, and customer care.Generate new use cases across telecommunication and media that leverage GenAI for product development, test and integration.Drive client meetings to enable programs to support design and performance analyses to identify areas for improvement and optimization.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional growth.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AI Ops in conjunction with operations systems architectures.Maintain a deep understanding of operations systems architecture including TMF, 3GPP, IETF, and ITU standards.Maintain a deep understanding of current O-RAN network architecture, design, deployment and operations processes.Collaborate with stakeholders and clients to define and implement system design strategies aligned with business objectives.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in all operations systems solutions.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in network systems architecture, design, and implementation within the telecommunication industry.Deep knowledge and experience with AI and GenAI algorithms, platforms, solutions, specialized infrastructure, LLM designs and use cases.Detailed knowledge and experience in GenAI-based product development, integration and automation.Strong knowledge of network design, deployment, integration, operations, processes, and systems, including network management, service fulfillment, service assurance, billing, and customer relationship management.Proven experience in designing and implementing operations systems solutions, including experience with relevant tools and technologies.In-depth understanding of industry standards, specifications and protocols such as 3GPP (5G, 4G/LTE, 3G/UMTS), O-RAN Alliance NFV, CNF MANO based architectures, TM Forum's Frameworx (eTOM, SID, TAM), and operations systems architecture, with knowledge of how AI, ML, and GenAI can enhance these frameworks.Exceptional knowledge of O-RAN interfaces and network functions definitions.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues. This includes in relation to AI, ML, and GenAI applications.Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) and databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL).Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.Professional certifications in operations sytems domains (e.g., TM Forum certifications) are an added benefit.If you are a highly motivated and experienced Systems Architect looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to the telecommunication industry, we would love to hear from you.
