The Team:
The foundation of IFS Technology team structure is meticulously crafted to drive business value and achieve engineering and delivery excellence. Our engineering teams operate at the functional level, tirelessly delivering new features and enhancements aligned with business priorities. The two agile-based engineering teams, Team 1 (Finance and Procurement) and Team 2 (Inventory and CMMS), consistently follow bi-weekly sprints to ensure timely and impactful results. Our collaborative structure ensures a seamless blend of expertise and dedication, driving success in every aspect of our operations.
The Role
- Experience in IFS Installation, Configuration & Management for IFS 7.5/IFS8/IFS9/IFS10 and IFS Cloud.
- Proficiency in successfully planning and implementing IFS upgrades.
- Exposure to IFS customizations, localizations and Integrations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in programming, debugging, and SQL skills.
- Take ownership of functional/technical issues of customers’, provide end-to-end resolution and lessons learnt via RCA.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Utilize technical expertise to develop innovative solutions and optimize product performance.
- Continuously enhance product knowledge and be updated with the latest industry trends and advancements.
- Apply best engineering and architectural concepts.
- Ensure product performance and maintainability by adhering to IFS’ standards, guidelines, processes, and tools.
- Create documentation, presentation, and training material.
- Make sure the systems can scale sustainably through automation and improvement of reliability.
- Reduce toil of recurrent operations by advocating for automated solutions.
- Set up and maintain monitoring, metrics, engineering analysis & reporting systems for actionable alerting.
- Measuring and monitoring the availability, latency, and overall health of the system once the services are live.
- Previous practical work experience from a similar position.
- Experience with Azure Platform.
Qualifications:
- A University degree, or equivalent professional qualifications, in software/system engineering is essential.
- 5+ years of demonstrable enterprise level knowledge in:
• CICD Experience (GitLab, Bitbucket, GitHub Actions, ADO, Jenkins, Bamboo)
•Container orchestration (K8s, helm).
• Infra as Code/Configuration Management (terraform, ansible)
• Containerization (Docker)
• Scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Golang)
• Working with cloud-based infrastructure in Azure (specifically AKS), AWS or GCP
• Azure service administration and operations
- Ability to work with internal subject matter experts to resolve security, performance, and usability issues.
- Should be a good communicator, competent in effectively communicating with all technical and nontechnical teams.
- Natural desire to discover and learn new technologies & processes. Proactively taking initiative & responsibility.
- Should be a strong team player, self-driven & have experience working with a geographically dispersed team.
- Willingness to accept challenges and show a high level of enthusiasm.
- Quality assurance experience; Testing, Automation and Test data management skills (desirable).

- Experience in rolling out ERP solutions internationally.

- Providing user training and support, including writing user manuals and documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards and maintaining system security and integrity.
- Troubleshooting and resolving system issues, including data discrepancies and configuration errors.
- Keeping up to date with IFS technology trends and best practices.
