About the job

As a Sr. Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the delivery and operational support of networking solutions in regional/local/remote locations.

Ensuring the performance and availability of network solutions and responding with a sense of urgency to system outages to ensure systems are back up and running within established guidelines.

This role will routinely review, analyze, and recommend network improvements.

Network Engineer Job Responsibilities :

- Build and deploy network device configurations

- Update or create network documentation and enforce system standards

- Configure routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless controllers, and access points

- Collaborate with network architects on network optimization

- Provide on-call support

- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations

- Plan and execute the approved network design at a specific change interval

- Monitor network performance

- Collaborate with local and regional IT operations to report, troubleshoot, and resolve network-related issues

- Create and update appropriate documentation related to network change or upgrades

- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and other network and system issues

- IP Address Auditing

Network Engineer Qualifications/Skills :

- Experience building highly available, scalable distributed networks

- Able to work with global teams, including flexible hours

- Ability to deliver results in a fast-changing, dynamic environment

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate effectively with business and technical audiences

- Organized and self-directed with the ability to prioritize and manage a demanding workload

- Problem-solving and analytical skills

- Understanding Network Data Flows

- Assist with network design and implementation

- Strong network troubleshooting skills

- Strong documentation skills

- Knowledge of WAN and LAN (Layer 2 and Layer 3, VPN, BGP, MPLS, SDWAN, Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP)

- SolarWinds Working Knowledge

- Network Hardware Configuration (Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, Azure)

About you :

- University Bachelor's Degree

- Eight to ten years of experience

- Excellent time management skills

- Good analytical skills

- High level of verbal and written communication skills

- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
