Technical Digital Content Validator Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and technically curious Technical Digital Content Validator to play a critical role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and successful release of our interactive digital publications. In EdTech space You will primarily focus on our ePub and PDF files, with a particular emphasis on validating and troubleshooting ePubs that contain embedded JavaScript for interactivity and assessment content. You'll work within our content management platform to identify and resolve issues, perform thorough quality assurance, and support the entire digital content lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to develop their skills in a publishing environment, with a strong emphasis on practical problem-solving and collaboration. Required Skills & Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Digital Media, or a related field; or equivalent practicalexperience. Relevant experience of 3-5 years Technical Foundations: Strong proficiency with web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, including debugging skills. Experience or strong foundational understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks (e.G., Angular, React, Vue.Js) is highly desirable, as similar principles apply to embedded ePub interactivity. Understanding of XML structure and concepts. Experience working with ZIP archives (understanding how ePubs are structured). Proficiency with validation of digital content against style guides, Regulatory standards, Compliance requirements and accessibility. Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues, particularly code-related bugs. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical team members. Understanding of data structures, metadata validation, and experience with digital content formats and validation tools. Software Familiarity: Experience with code editors (e.G., VS Code, Sublime Text) and comfort with file management. Curiosity: A genuine interest in digital publishing, e-books, and the technical aspects of content delivery, particularly dynamic and interactive experiences. Preferred Skills: Direct experience with ePub development, particularly embedding and troubleshooting JavaScript for interactivity (e.G., quizzes, forms, dynamic content) in EdTech space Experience with EPUB-specific tools (e.G., Sigil, Calibre, Kindle Previewer). Basic understanding of Adobe Acrobat Pro for PDF inspection and manipulation. Familiarity with version control systems (e.G., Git). Exposure to accessibility standards (e.G., WCAG, EPUB Accessibility specifications). Experience with content management systems (CMS) or digital asset management (DAM) platforms. Prior Experience in Digital content documentation, validation or QA specific to eBook's and online learning platforms.
