I. Project Overview and Objectives:

The primary objective of this role is to lead the development and implementation of advanced Data Science models to quantify and optimize the Return on Investment Effectiveness (ROIE) across various marketing channels. The Senior Data Scientist will be responsible for:

  • Developing comprehensive models to measure the impact of traditional and digital media on sales.
  • Analyzing the sensitivity of sales outcomes to fluctuations in media spending.
  • Creating advanced tools for scenario planning and optimization to evaluate potential investment strategies and maximize ROI.
  • Ensuring alignment with client-specific methodologies, detail requirements, and reporting formats.


II. Scope of Work:

The Senior Data Scientist will be expected to deliver the following, with acceptance based on the criteria listed:

  • Design and manipulation of complex datasets for nuanced analysis.
  • Advanced implementation and refinement of ROIE models, primarily using R and Python.
  • Production of robust predictive outputs for validation against client expectations and model accuracy.
  • Development of a sophisticated codebase to support data preparation, modeling, and result replication.
  • Detailed documentation of findings and strategic insights in both slide (PowerPoint) and spreadsheet formats.
  • Construction of a sophisticated Excel-based tool for "What if" analyses, featuring enhanced optimization functions

  • A strong foundation in data science and statistical modeling, with proven experience in media mix modeling and ROI optimization.
  • Proficiency in R and Python, with experience in creating scalable and reusable models.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to derive meaningful insights from complex data.
  • Excellent communication abilities to effectively convey insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • A track record of successful project leadership and team collaboration in a data-driven environment.
