Role Overview:

The MEP Head will lead pan-India quality control and inspection operations for all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This leadership role requires a seasoned professional with a strong technical background, expertise in MEP audits, and team management experience. The MEP Head will ensure that all projects comply with industry standards, client requirements, and PropChk protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

MEP Quality Management:

  • Lead and oversee MEP inspections for a wide range of properties and projects, ensuring compliance with PropChk’s standards and national codes.
  • Supervise the testing and commissioning of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical panels, fire safety systems, and plumbing networks.
  • Ensure all MEP assets align with design specifications and function efficiently, safely, and reliably.

Client Coordination:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding MEP-related quality audits and inspections across India.
  • Provide comprehensive reports highlighting discrepancies, issues, and actionable recommendations for rectification.

Technical Oversight:

  • Develop, review, and approve MEP inspection protocols and benchmarks for various project types.
  • Identify non-conformities in design, installation, or operational performance and ensure prompt resolution.
  • Utilize advanced tools and platforms, such as PropChk’s proprietary Snagr platform, for seamless snagging and de-snagging management.

Team Leadership:

  • Train and mentor a team of MEP quality engineers, fostering technical excellence and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Regularly evaluate team performance and provide guidance to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Analyze and interpret inspection data for MEP systems, providing actionable insights and reports to senior management.
  • Track and report on team performance metrics and project quality indicators, ensuring alignment with PropChk’s objectives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • 12–14 years of experience in MEP quality control, inspections, or construction management with a real estate background.
  • Extensive knowledge of MEP design, testing, commissioning, and quality assurance processes.
  • Familiarity with national and international standards for MEP systems, including safety codes and efficiency benchmarks.
  • Proficiency in advanced tools for inspections, testing, and snagging.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and deliver results under tight timelines.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across India for site inspections and client interactions.
