Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer

As a key part of the Digital Solutions team, we are investing in present and future capabilities by building platforms and capabilities which can change our agent experience to best in class to serve our customers.Reporting to the Engineering Manager, we are looking for a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer with a proven track record who will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through the design, development, and execution of automated testing processes. In this hybrid workplace role, they work closely with the development team to identify and resolve defects, create robust test cases, and contribute to the overall improvement of the software development process.Roles and ResponsibilitiesYou will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, scripts, and tools to support various testing phases, such as unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testingYou will collaborate with software developers and quality assurance teams to understand requirements and identify critical test scenariosIntegrate test automation suites into the Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines to ensure regular and efficient testingYou will participate in the development of test plans and strategies, considering various testing types, test data requirements, and test environmentsYou will assist in defining and implementing test methodologies, processes, and best practices to achieve high test coverage and deliver reliable softwareExecute automated and manual test cases to validate software functionality, identify defects, and ensure compliance with specificationsAnalyse test results, investigate issues, and work with the development team to prioritise and address identified defectsGenerate comprehensive test reports and document test results for stakeholders, including clear bug reports and status updatesContinuously enhance and optimise the test automation frameworks, tools, and processes to improve testing efficiency and effectivenessActively participate in code reviews, share knowledge, and provide feedback to team members to promote a culture of qualityCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to ensure a shared understanding of testing goals and objectivesCommunicate testing progress, issues, and risks effectively to project stakeholders and managementMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Strong programming skills, preferably in languages like Java, Python or JavaScript5 or more years of experience in designing and developing test automation frameworks like cucumber bdd or test ng5 or more years of experience in web browser automation and testing using selenium, cypress etcFamiliarity with end to end testing like UI/UX, API, integration, performance and stress testing.Knowledge of software testing methodologies, principles, and best practicesUnderstanding of Agile and DevOps practicesPreferred QualificationsWorking knowledge on test case management tools like TestRail etc and framework like cucumberWorking knowledge in using GIT for version control and logging defectsExperience in working in AWS services like code build and code pipelineStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detailExcellent communication and teamwork skills#LI-PW1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk Amazing things are created every day with our software – from the greenest buildings and cleanest cars to the smartest factories and biggest hit movies.
