• Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. • Conduct cost/benefit analysis and provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. • Conduct testing of network design. • Plan implementation of enhancements and upgrades to the network. • Responsible for monitoring network hardware operations to ensure proper set configuration options. • Advise network users of hardware requirements, configurations, and limitations. • Evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network. Conduct system administration, installation, Troubleshooting, configuration, maintenance, backup, and restoration support for network defense sensors and scanners, including all hardware and software. • Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
