What you’ll be doing:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Principal Architect to join our team. The Principal Architect will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our products, driving innovation, and ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background as an architect in a product-based company, exceptional collaboration skills, and a passion for exploring new technologies and driving best practices.
- Technical Vision: Develop and communicate a long-term technical vision and strategy for our products. Work closely with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals and objectives.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Collaborate effectively with product management, engineering leaders, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize initiatives, and ensure alignment between technical architecture and product roadmap.
- Scalability and Performance: Architect scalable and high-performance solutions that can meet the demands of our growing user base. Identify potential scalability bottlenecks and performance issues and propose solutions to address them.
- Driving Best Practices: Champion best practices in software design, development, testing, deployment, and operations. Establish and promote guidelines, standards, and processes to ensure consistency and quality across engineering teams.
- Hands-on Exploration of Technologies: Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and trends in software development and architecture. Conduct hands-on exploration and evaluation of new technologies to assess their potential impact on our products.
- Setting up and Contributing to Technology Forums: Establish and lead technology forums, communities of practice, or knowledge sharing initiatives within the organization. Foster collaboration, learning, and innovation among engineering teams.
- Work with Engineering Leaders: Collaborate with engineering leaders to understand pain points and challenges faced by engineering teams. Work towards identifying and resolving technical issues and improving overall engineering effectiveness.
What will make you a good fit:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10-15 years of experience in software development experience and 5+ years as a principal architect or similar role in a product-based company.
- Strong technical background with expertise in designing and delivering complex software architectures.
- Proven track record of driving scalability, performance, and reliability in production environments.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with a variety of technologies, platforms, and programming languages.
- Experience setting up and contributing to technology forums, communities, or knowledge sharing initiatives.
