About The Role As a Software Development Engineer in Test-II (Automation) , you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated testing frameworks, developing test strategies, and ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize test cases, conduct comprehensive testing, and drive continuous improvement of our testing and automation processes. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality automation solutions. A Day in the Life Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and translate them into test strategies and plans. Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, tools, and test suites to ensure efficient and reliable software testing. Write and execute complex automation test cases, perform thorough regression testing, and analyze automation test results to identify and report defects. Collaborate with development teams to promote testability, provide input on architectural design, and implement testability features. Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to evaluate system performance and scalability. Identify areas for test process improvement, drive test automation initiatives, and implement best practices to enhance overall testing efficiency and effectiveness. Investigate and troubleshoot complex technical issues, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution. Collaborate with QA engineers to establish and enforce quality standards, processes, and guidelines throughout the software development lifecycle. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members, assisting in their professional growth and development. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software testing and quality assurance. Work on new technical solutions to improve automation framework and increase test productivity. What You Need Bachelor's degree with 4-7 years of experience working as an SDET for business / technology-intensive products. Strong programming skills in one or more languages, such as Python, Java, or JavaScript. Extensive experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, BDD, Robot Framework) and related tools. Proficiency in building and maintaining automated test scripts, test suites, and test data. Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices. Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab CI/CD). Knowledge of API testing tools and techniques, such as karate, REST Assured, or similar. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues and propose effective solutions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
