Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop solar power systems, including photovoltaic (PV) and thermal systems.
  • Conduct site assessments to determine the suitability of locations for solar installations.
  • Perform detailed analysis of solar energy production and develop energy models.
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and documentation for solar projects.
  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of solar power systems.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to integrate solar systems into building designs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to solar installations.
  • Conduct performance testing and optimization of solar power systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in solar technology and industry trends.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in solar energy system design and implementation.
  • Proficient in solar simulation software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope).
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and grid integration.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, UL).
