Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Site Engineer to oversee residential/commercial construction projects, including bungalows and farmhouses. The role requires close monitoring of daily activities, ensuring alignment between the architect's design intent, contractor execution, and client expectations. The Site Engineer will ensure smooth functioning of the project, timely reporting, and quality compliance.

This is a full-time, site-based position – the engineer must be readily available on site, stay until project closure each day, and demonstrate commitment to long-term engagement.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Daily Reporting & Planning
  • Submit daily progress reports without fail.
  • Share next-day activity plans clearly with management/contractors.
  • Escalate issues immediately if they cannot be managed at site.
  • Site Supervision
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the project.
  • Conduct overall progress checking to align site work with project expectations.
  • Track contractor performance – ensure fast contractors remain on schedule.
  • Quality Assurance
  • Conduct and document soil tests, PCC, reinforcement checks, and other stage-wise inspections.
  • Collect and maintain quality certificates for all materials/products used.
  • Ensure quality standards are never compromised.
  • Material & Register Management
  • Maintain registers of all materials received, consumed, and balance stock.
  • Verify proper usage of materials and prevent wastage/pilferage.
  • Monitoring & Documentation
  • Support remote monitoring through CCTV (proof and accountability).
  • Maintain accurate site registers and logs.
  • Keep technical and architectural drawings up-to-date and followed on site.
  • Client & Stakeholder Alignment
  • Understand client sensitivities (including foreign clients) and maintain professionalism.
  • Align both our expectations and client expectations with contractor deliverables.
  • Ensure smooth communication and escalate only when necessary (within 1 week).

Skills & Competencies Required

  • Knowledge of civil construction works (residential/commercial buildings, villas, farmhouses).
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
  • Computer literacy for documentation and reporting.
  • Knowledge of local building practices and standards (PWD experience preferred).
  • Ability to handle multiple contractors, materials, and timelines.
  • Good communication in Kannada, English, Hindi, and Tamil.
  • Strong observational skills and proactive problem-solving.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of project site experience.
  • Prior experience with residential bungalows/farmhouses required (1–2 similar projects).
  • Must be physically fit to handle on-site demands.
  • Candidates must reside near the site for accessibility.

Behavioral & Attitude Parameters

  • Must be on-site full-time (first to arrive, last to leave).
  • Unmarried candidates preferred (for flexibility in site stay).
  • Must be young, energetic, and committed to long-term engagement.
  • Should be a listener with good communication skills.
  • Should demonstrate discipline, reliability, and a proactive attitude.

Must accept ongoing evaluation by senior architect/project head.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50, ₹100,000.00 per month
