Officebased Monday to FridayKey Responsibilities:Payment Entry:Accurately post payments to the practice management system including:

Live checks within 24 hoursOnline Credit Card payments by the next business dayEFT deposits within 72 hours

Record batch totals with date and initials on the payment receipt spreadsheet.Balance batches and run transaction reports.Verify that all EFT deposits and scanned checks are posted by monthend.Document and communicate payment denials promptly in the practice management system to the appropriate billing representative.Identify and report any payments not matching the allowed/contracted amount to the AR billing representative.Batch patient statements electronically on a weekly basis.Create invoices for attorney fees and coordinate with the physician’s office upon payment receipt.Department Coverage:Provide crosscoverage for charge entry when necessary.Stay updated on medical billing and coding procedures insurance carriers federal programs etc.Qualifications:Minimum of three years of experience in Payment Posting.Ability to handle a high volume of work while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.Strong oral and written communication skills.
