Job Title : Senior Android Developer.

Position Type : Contract to Hire (C2H), 6-9+ months.

Location : Remote (Must be based out in India).

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Android development and a proven track record of delivering high-quality mobile applications.

This is a contract to hire position, offering an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology projects in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Responsibilities :

- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

- Work with outside data sources and APIs.

- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

- Troubleshoot and fix bugs, optimize application performance, and ensure the best possible quality.

- Conduct code reviews, provide mentorship to junior developers, and promote best practices in software development.

- Contribute to the overall architecture and technical direction of the mobile application development team.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 7+ years of professional experience in Android development.

- Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin.

- In-depth knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.

- Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.

- Strong understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.

- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.

- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.

- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.

- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.

- Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in leading or managing a team of developers.

- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks.

- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.

- Experience with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD).

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.
