Position Overview:
We are seeking an accomplished, visionary, and dynamic academic leader to serve as the Dean of the Rural MBA Program for one of the renowned university in Chandigarh. The Dean will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of rural management education, leading strategic initiatives, strengthening industry-academia linkages, and nurturing future leaders committed to driving rural transformation. This is a leadership position for individuals passionate about innovative education, community engagement, and sustainable rural development.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Academic Leadership:
Design, develop, and implement the curriculum for the Rural MBA program ensuring alignment with emerging industry needs, global standards, and rural development trends.
Drive interdisciplinary research, case study development, and knowledge dissemination in rural management and allied fields.
Strategic Development:
Formulate and execute the long-term vision, strategy, and growth plan for the Rural MBA program.
Initiate partnerships with rural enterprises, NGOs, government agencies, and international organizations for collaborative projects and student immersion programs.
Faculty Management:
Recruit, mentor, and retain high-caliber faculty members with expertise in rural management, sustainability, agribusiness, social entrepreneurship, and development studies.
Foster an environment of continuous learning, academic excellence, and research output among faculty.
Student Engagement:
Oversee student admissions, scholarships, internships, rural fieldwork programs, and placements.
Promote experiential learning through live projects, rural internships, and social impact initiatives.
Industry & Community Outreach:
Build strong relationships with corporate partners, cooperatives, rural enterprises, and government agencies to ensure practical exposure for students.
Organize conclaves, seminars, and symposiums on rural development and management.
Quality Assurance and Accreditation:
Ensure adherence to accreditation standards (national and international) and participate actively in audits and quality enhancement activities.
Promote a culture of academic integrity, transparency, and continuous improvement. Qualifications and Experience:
Educational Background:
Ph.D. in Rural Management, Agribusiness Management, Development Studies, Business Administration, or related disciplines from a reputed institution.
Experience:
Minimum of 15 years of relevant academic, research, and/or industry experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role (such as Professor, Director, or Associate Dean).
Proven track record of academic excellence, research publications, program development, and stakeholder engagement.
Skill Set:
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
Exceptional communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
Demonstrated commitment to rural development, social impact, and sustainability.
Experience in fundraising, grants, and sponsored research (preferred).
