Job Title: Mechanical CAD Design Engineer Intern

Job Summary:

As a Mechanical CAD Design Engineer Intern at Monk 3D, you will engage in a multifaceted role, working closely with me on various projects that span engineering disciplines and material sciences, in addition to contributing to our 3D printing initiatives. Your responsibilities will include utilizing CAD software to design and develop 3D models for printing, as well as applying your engineering and material knowledge to tackle a wide array of projects. Your stipend will be performance-based, reflecting your contributions to project outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with me on diverse projects spanning engineering disciplines and material sciences.

Utilize CAD software to design and develop detailed 3D models for various applications.

Apply engineering principles and material knowledge to solve complex problems and optimize designs.

Conduct research and analysis to support project objectives and incorporate best practices.

Assist in project documentation, including design specifications, technical reports, and material analyses.


Skills and Qualifications:

Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360) is essential.

Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, engineering fundamentals, and material sciences.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Passion for technology, innovation, and a willingness to learn.


Preferred:

Experience in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Familiarity with additive manufacturing processes and 3D printing technologies.

Knowledge of simulation software (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL) is advantageous.


Stipend:

The stipend for this position will be based on performance and contributions to project outcomes.
