Position : Senior Automation Engineer

Department: Engineering Job Summary : As a Senior Automation Engineer with expertise in Selenium and Java, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks and scripts to support software testing and quality assurance efforts. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements, develop scalable automation solutions, and drive continuous improvement in testing processes. Your technical proficiency and leadership skills will contribute to the success of the automation projects and help ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts using Selenium and Java. Strong hands on API testing with coding skills to create test automation using REST Assured. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand testing requirements and define automation strategies. Create and execute automated test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability. Identify and prioritize test cases for automation, considering factors such as complexity, frequency of execution, and business impact. Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate different automation tools and frameworks to recommend the most suitable solutions. Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality automation code. Continuously enhance and optimize automation frameworks and processes to improve test efficiency and effectiveness. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior automation engineers, helping them develop their skills in Selenium and Java. Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in automation testing and contribute to the adoption of new tools and techniques. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment on testing strategies and priorities. Proactively identify opportunities to improve testing methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance overall software quality. Develop and maintain documentation related to automation frameworks, test scripts, and best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus. Proven experience (5+ years) in automation testing using Selenium and Java. Strong proficiency in Java programming language and experience with object-oriented design principles. Extensive hands-on experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver. Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices. Experience with test management and defect tracking tools, such as Jira . Strong knowledge of web technologies, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git. Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to lead automation testing efforts and mentor junior team members. Proactive attitude towards learning and staying updated with emerging trends and technologies in automation testing. Have worked on
