Job Description – Senior Accountant

The Job / Position Summary  


Support daily accounting operations by verifying invoices, tracking payments, managing cash transactions, and providing essential financial reports. Requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and proficiency in accounting software. 


Your responsibilities  


  • Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring all tasks related to GRN, delivery order and invoices, account payables/receivables, and cash receipts and payments are completed accurately and within established timelines. 
  • Conduct regular account reconciliation tasks, including bank reconciliation, vendor reconciliation, and reconciliation of debtors and creditors, with a focus on achieving a reconciliation accuracy rate of 98%. 
  • Payroll and utility payments in compliance with government and statutory regulations, maintaining a 100% accuracy rate in payroll processing and ensuring timely submission of related documents to relevant authorities. 
  • Deduct TDS accurately and facilitate online payment within the stipulated time frame, achieving a 100% compliance rate with TDS regulations. 
  • Timely GST Return filing. 
  • Prepare and share TDS and GST data with the Chartered Accountant within 5 working days of the end of each financial period. 
  • Develop and implement cash flow forecasting methods to accurately predict cash requirements, aiming for a 95% accuracy rate in cash flow projections. 
  • Assist in the finalization of accounts in consultation with the CA, ensuring all accounts are finalized within 15 days of the end of the financial year and supporting internal auditing processes with zero discrepancies identified during audits. 
  • Provide sales reports and outstanding reports to Sales Executives and Accounts Manager accurately and on time. 
  • Successfully verify and settle travel and food claims of Technowave employees within the stipulated timeframe. 
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and any accounting issues promptly to ensure smooth operations.  
  • Responsible for timely payment reminders and overdue payment collection, maintaining a 90% collection rate on overdue payments within 30 days of the due date. 

 


Skills and experience  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounts/Finance or related field. 
  • 4 to 5 years of experience working with SMEs in accounting and finance is preferred 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proficiency in applicable computer software systems and tools. 
  • High attention to detail.
