We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable English Language Assessor to evaluate dissertation papers, college student responses to open-ended questions, and grading essays/papers. The ideal candidate will have strong English grammar and mechanic skills, good critical thinking skills, and the ability to apply basic scoring rules.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate dissertation papers and college student responses to open-ended questions in a reliable manner following client-supplied scoring rubrics
  • Incorporate training and customer scoring guidelines for grading essays/papers as per guidelines

Selection Process:

  • English Assessment Test
  • Skype Interview
  • Training & Client Test

Requirements:

  • Proficient in written and spoken English
  • Strong English grammar and mechanic skills
  • Good critical thinking skills to apply basic scoring rules
  • Experience in SOP writing
  • Able to put aside personal biases and apply scoring guide to meet customer requirements
  • Good computer skills (MS Office, MS Excel, Google Sheet)

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Able to perform independently without discussing scoring decisions with co-workers
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Able to accept supervision from development staff, team leaders, or scoring supervisors
  • Prior teaching experience is beneficial
