Blue Spire is seeking talented Data Engineers with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure on GCP. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python or Java programming, extensive experience with SQL, and a deep understanding of GCP data services such as Pub/Sub and data pipelines.

Responsibilities:Design, develop, and deploy data pipelines and workflows on Google Cloud Platform using tools such as Dataflow, Dataproc, and Apache Beam.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements, design data models, and implement scalable solutions to support business needs.Build and optimize data ingestion processes from various sources into GCP, ensuring data quality, reliability, and consistency.Implement real-time and batch data processing solutions using GCP services like Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and BigQuery.Develop and maintain data transformation processes using SQL, Python, or Java to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives.Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.Work closely with Data Scientists and Analysts to provide them with the necessary data infrastructure and tools for their analyses and insights.Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data engineering, cloud computing, and big data technologies.Document design decisions, processes, and workflows, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.Contribute to the overall data architecture and strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.

Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.4+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.5+ years of proficiency in Python or Java programming languages for data processing and automation.Strong SQL skills with experience in database design, optimization, and performance tuning.Hands-on experience with GCP data services such as Pub/Sub, Dataflow, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage.Experience building and optimizing data pipelines using Apache Beam or similar frameworks.Familiarity with data modeling concepts and techniques for both relational and NoSQL databases.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and stakeholders.GCP certification(s) such as Professional Data Engineer or Associate Cloud Engineer is a plus.
