Position Overview are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to architect and build our quality engineering infrastructure. This role focuses on designing scalable test frameworks and building testing infrastructure from scratch, combining deep software engineering expertise with test automation specialization. You will own test orchestration, performance testing, and quality standards across our engineering organization.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect and implement comprehensive test frameworks and runners spanning unit, integration, and E2E testingBuild custom testing tools, CLI utilities, and reusable test libraries for quality engineering at scaleOwn CI/CD test orchestration including sharding, caching, parallelism, and retry mechanismsCreate hermetic, deterministic test environments using containers, service virtualization, and contract testingImplement test observability (metrics, logs, traces) and flakiness detection systemsExecute comprehensive performance testing (load, stress, volume, endurance) and user experience testingCollaborate with cross-functional teams, provide code reviews, and mentor on testing best practicesEducationB.E/B.Tech in Computer Science OR MCACore Experience5+ years developing test automation frameworks with Microsoft Playwright expertise5+ years designing and executing performance testing strategiesStrong software engineering background building frameworks and services from scratchSystems thinking expertise (APIs, concurrency, performance, reliability)Production-level debugging and analytical problem-solving abilitiesUser experience testing and product thinking expertiseTechnical SkillsProgramming: Python (required), JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js (required), Java (preferred)Testing & Automation: Microsoft Playwright (expert level), Cypress, Selenium, JMeter, Postman, Rest AssuredInfrastructure & DevOps: Microsoft Azure (required), AWS (required), Jenkins (required), Azure DevOps (required), GitHub Actions (required), Docker, GitObservability: Test observability (metrics, logs, traces), Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, flakiness detectionSoft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration, Agile/Scrum methodology, analytical thinking, continuous learning mindset.Nice to Have QualificationsAI-assisted coding experience (Cursor, AI code generation tools)- significant advantageKubernetes and cloud-native testing approachesISTQB Advanced/Expert level certificationCloud certifications (Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer)
