Credit Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Credit Analyst to join our Mumbai-based team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will bring at least 2 years of experience specifically in handling SME, corporate and business loans. This role is perfect for someone who has a deep understanding of credit analysis for unsecured SME loans and is seeking a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct a thorough analysis of banking statements, assess credit requests and annual due diligence.
2. Provide recommendations based on the analysis and assessment of credit risk.
3. Present analysis, findings, and recommendations to managers, particularly regarding a borrower’s ability to repay.
4. Develop and prepare assessment spreadsheets to support analysis of new and existing credit applications.
5. Calculate financial ratios to assess the financial health of clients and create cash flow projections.
6. Coordinate with the clients and the lenders for specific credit requests
7. Support internal product and tech teams with automation opportunities
Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, commerce or other business-related fields.
- Two to five years of strong MSME credit analysis experience in India
- Impeccable understanding of financial statements, ratios, and concepts.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and general computer use.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies in data.
- Excellent oral communication and reporting writing skills.
- Ability to multi-task across multiple projects and/or clients.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
