About the ESG & Innovation Team:

The Environmental, Social, Governance & Innovation (ESG&I) team at Shahi is a dynamic, cross-functional group leading the company's work on climate action, ethical sourcing, circular fashion, compliance, and traceability. We partner with global organizations, drive internal innovation, and pilot cutting-edge solutions across the value chain. This role is part of our data and reporting vertical, which is instrumental in turning complex ESG data into meaningful insights and disclosures that guide our sustainability strategy.

About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and data-savvy ESG Strategy & Reporting Assistant Manager to join our growing ESG&I team. This role combines technical data capabilities with exposure to leading ESG frameworks and reporting standards. You will play a key role in ensuring data quality, deriving insights, and communicating sustainability performance across multiple workstreams.

Key Responsibilities:

ESG Data Management & Internal Reporting

● Explore automation and AI tools (e.g., Power Automate, ChatGPT) to streamline ESG workflows. Automate monthly/quarterly data collection through this digital tool and centralize it in a structured, auditable system.

● Maintain clean, standardized data sets and support internal ESG reports.

● Ensure ESG metric alignment with reporting needs (e.g., GRI, CDP) in system design.

ESG Goal Setting & Progress Tracking

● Facilitate ESG goal-setting sessions and map targets to OKRs and performance evaluation

● Track quarterly progress and flag gaps or risks using simplified dashboards.

● Support in presenting quarterly reports to the leadership team Analysis & Insight Generation

● Analyze ESG data to uncover trends, risks, and priority areas for action. Frameworks, Reporting & Compliance

● Prepare ESG data and documentation for key frameworks like GRI.

● Support internal teams in aligning with disclosure timelines Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

● Translate ESG data into insights and slides for leadership and sustainability reports.

● Collaborate with sourcing, operations, and IT teams to drive action from data findings.

Desired Profile:

● Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Environmental Science, Economics, or related

fields.

● 2-3 years of relevant experience; prior exposure to ESG topics is a plus.

● Experience in handling large data sets- data cleaning, formatting, collating, and ingestion in ERP systems

● Strong command of Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization or automation tool like Python, PowerBI, SQL etc.

● Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and storytelling skills — you can make data speak.

● Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities, with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. ● Curious, organized, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
