Job Description:Position SummarySeeking a transformative and high performing Individual to join in building out a new team in Finance Centre of Excellence. Someone with advanced technical skills, lean minded, and a self-starter. Performs first level of Production Support. Demonstrates solid persuasion skills and manages differing interests and perspectivesDesign comprehensive solutions, translating complex requirements into an optimal Development DesignsBuild Web solutions using Development design patterns, OOP and MVC, among others.Performs program modifications, performance tuning, problem solving, debugging and unit testing.Work tasks encompass concepts within the web development best practices which might include:Experience in Agile Methodology and usage of tools like JIRAExposure to HP Service Management & HP Quality CenterActively participates in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, complies with professional and quality standards, complies with corporate policies and procedures, and acts in a manner consistent with 3M’s values and ethical standardsGeneral Qualifications/Experience:IT (Information Technology) Bachelor level university/college degree.5+ years relevant working experience in IT related field.Working experience with Power bi or similar technologies.Familiar with Microsoft SSIS PackagesFamiliar with HANA Studio/ MS SQL Studio/ Snowsight ; knowledge of data modelling in multiple databases such as Snowflake, Hana View, Teradata, and Universe.Experience in SQL Scripting using various Data Type extension, Variables, Procedures, Triggers, Joins, Modelling Language and Best PracticesBasic Knowledge in integration services such as SSIS.Experience on back-end Development such as .NET, ColdFusion, Java, or similar Object-oriented languages.Basic expertise understanding Web Development concepts such as (MVC, OOP, Design Patterns)Experience desiredStrong business acumen: capable of understanding complex finance concepts, processes, and measures contained in user requirements documentation.Some exposure to scripting language – Python, Java, R.Basic understanding of the Front-end development technologies such as (JS, jQuery, Ajax, JSON)Understanding of client/server architecture for Web DevelopmentEducation and training requiredBachelors, master's, or advanced degree in Finance/ Business / Economics / Computer Science/ IT / Mathematics.Primary SkillsAbility to optimally engage with both business and technical teamsStrong communication and presentation skills in EnglishExcellent technical capabilitiesFlowcharting, process mapping, value stream mappingAdvanced knowledge & understanding of translating user provided functional design requirements into technical design requirementsSolid interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively organize and communicate across functional and technical lines, as well as global time zonesAbility to manage and prioritize multiple projects under pressureSelf-motivated with curiosity; willing to continuously learn new systems, processes, and skillsMust be able to work independently and be a self-starterMust be detail oriented, self-directed and have strong independent problem-solving skillsStrong project leadership and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of information technology opportunities and the ability to evaluate ideas and make proposalsAbility to multi-task is inherent in the job responsibilitiesAbility to collaborate / teamwork skills is inherent in the job responsibilitiesMust be able to travel internationally if needed
