Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical
Management Information Systems (MIS) Specialist
to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in
Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, and automation techniques)
and
Power BI
for data visualization and reporting. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing management reports and dashboards to support decision-making across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain MIS reports and dashboards using
Excel
and
Power BI
. - Utilize advanced Excel functions (e.g.,
VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, IF statements, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, array formulas
, etc.) for complex data analysis. - Create interactive and visually effective dashboards in Power BI for key stakeholders.
- Collect, consolidate, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Automate repetitive reporting tasks and improve current data workflows.
- Work closely with department heads to understand reporting needs and develop custom reports.
- Monitor performance indicators and provide actionable insights through data analysis.
- Ensure data security and compliance with data governance policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to reporting and data accuracy.
- Support ad hoc data requests and generate quick-turnaround insights for management.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in
Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics
, or a related field. - 2–4 years of experience in MIS reporting, data analysis, or a similar role.
- Strong expertise in
Microsoft Excel
, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, data validation, conditional formatting, and macros. - Proficient in
Power BI
(data modeling, DAX, dashboard creation, and Power Query). - Familiarity with relational databases and SQL is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Skills (Optional):
- Experience with tools such as
MS Access, Tableau, or Google Sheets
. - Basic understanding of
ERP systems
and data integration. - Knowledge of
Python
or
R
for data analysis is a plus.
