Roll Title: Landslide Specialist
Location: Dehradun Uttarakhand
Job Responsibility:
Developing/updating Ground motion prediction equations.
PSHA development - site specific or regional
Developing landslide/liquefaction models.
Developing soil/basin models
GIS skills
Preparation and Issuance of Design Reports for Reinforced Earth Walls
Co-ordination with client/consultant for approval of design and drawing
Work closely with software developers to communicate software needs and ensure that coding aligns with hazard models.
Provide and manage model-related support for various internal clients, e.g. consulting projects.
Provide model-related client support, including investigation/debugging, explanation/interpretation of results, provision of further details about the models, and participation in meetings with clients.
Provide model-related support for and present on webinars presented to clients and prospects.
Develop and present presentations given at client conferences and external industry and scientific conferences.
Coordinate or monitor subsurface drilling, obtain soil, and rock samples, prepare boring logs, develop laboratory testing programs, interpret laboratory data, perform geotechnical analyses, and prepare detailed geotechnical reports
Partnering with team, develop project plans to achieve the outlined goals, and report status to the project manager. Provide risk management and issue resolution. Detect, report, and resolve situations that may cause risk to the project and its completion. Manage smaller projects or subtasks directly.
Use multicriterial method and appropriate GIS tools and models to prepare the landslide hazard-susceptibility maps;
Produce the landslide hazard-susceptibility map as a GIS 10x10 raster file.
Prepare the landslide hazard-susceptibility map as a GeoTIFF file.

Education & Experience: Master’s degree in earth sciences, geology/geography, meteorology, disaster risk management, natural resources and environmental management, or related fields.
