Job Title: Assistant Merchandiser – Womenswear (Fast Fashion)

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Merchandiser to join our team in managing the sampling and production process for womenswear in fast fashion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sample Development: Collaborate with the design and sampling team to create samples according to design briefs and deadlines.
  • Fit Approvals: Organize fit sessions, gather feedback, and ensure timely approval of samples.
  • Production Coordination: Manage the end-to-end process of sampling to production, ensuring smooth execution of designs.
  • Design Handling: Handle 20 new designs daily – ensuring all designs are developed, revised, and approved on time.
  • Vendor Communication: Liaise with pattern masters, tailors, and suppliers to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Quality Control: Monitor fabric selection, trims, and overall garment quality to meet brand standards.
  • Tracking and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of sampling progress, changes, and approvals.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to fits, construction, and production delays.
Requirements:
  • 2–3 years of experience as an Assistant Merchandiser in womenswear (fast fashion preferred).
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and fit approvals.
  • Ability to handle high volumes of work efficiently, managing 20 new designs daily.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and vendors.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and production tracking tools.
  • Highly detail-oriented and proactive.
