You will collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver a secure, performant, and user-centric app that integrates Apple Health data and modern iOS capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain the TrackMyMetric iOS app (Swift/SwiftUI) .Integrate Apple HealthKit (read/write), Background Tasks, local/remote notifications (APNs).Consume REST/GraphQL APIs using async/await (or Combine) and implement clean, testable architecture (e.g., MVVM/Clean).Ensure quality via XCTest/XCUITest , performance profiling, analytics, and crash reporting.Manage provisioning/certificates , TestFlight distribution, and App Store submissions.Participate in code reviews, contribute to documentation, and collaborate effectively across disciplines.Required QualificationsDemonstrable experience building Swift/SwiftUI apps; at least one shipped app (App Store/TestFlight/GitHub).Proficiency with API integration, concurrency (async/await or Combine), and dependency management ( Swift Package Manager ).Strong attention to UX, accessibility, performance, and reliability.Hardware: Mac and iPhone for on-device development and testing.A degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering is advantageous but not required — proven capability and delivered work are paramount.Desirable QualificationsHealth/fitness integrations (especially HealthKit ).StoreKit 2 (IAP/subscriptions) or RevenueCat; WidgetKit, WatchKit, Live Activities.Observability: Firebase/Amplitude analytics; Crashlytics/Sentry.Background processing, app architecture patterns, and CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions).Privacy & SecurityFamiliarity with UK GDPR/Data Protection Act principles: user consent, data minimisation, purpose limitation, secure storage, deletion.Apply encryption in transit (TLS) and secure credential handling (Keychain); practice least privilege and privacy-by-design.Comfortable working with DPAs/transfer safeguards under UK law when necessary.Work Arrangement & ToolsSchedule: Tuesday–Saturday with flexible hours; maintain agreed milestones and a modest UK-time overlap for collaboration.Collaboration: GitHub, Linear/Jira, Slack, Figma, TestFlight (or equivalents).Outcome-focused delivery with clear milestones and review checkpoints.Compensation & ContractMonthly rate: ₹20,000–₹30,000 (experience-based), paid against invoice.Contractor engagement with NDA and full IP assignment for work produced.Initial trial period (e.g., 3 months), extendable subject to performance and business needs.Career Growth & Progression (Including CTO Pathway)We are growing and value technical leadership:Structured progression toward Lead iOS Engineer as responsibilities expand (ownership of architecture, code quality, and mentoring).Opportunity to broaden scope into Engineering Management (planning, delivery, cross-functional leadership).Potential pathway to CTO as the team scales, contingent on demonstrated technical excellence, product impact, leadership capability, and organizational fit.
