Title: Specialist - Web Application Development

Years of experience: 4-6 Years

Location: Pune / Bangalore

Job Purpose Statement

Specialist - Web Application Development is required to perform development on the REST framework user interface and support operational efficiency, lifecycle, and production support of the software. The role is responsible for designing, coding, and modifying application interface for layout to function according to a client's specifications. Creating features that are user-friendly and have clear navigation are part of the deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

1. Work with stakeholders to understand the complex requirements, and to design and implement the solution within defined timelines.

2. Write codes based on functionalities and specifications agreed upon with stakeholders.

3. Recommend and execute upgrades for the software developments.

4. Participate in on-going lifecycle projects.

5. Identify areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently troubleshoot, debug, maintain and upgrade existing software.

6. Provide direct operational support on REST and participate during environment outages after normal business hours.

7. Assist on production issues and bug fixes.

8. Assist and maintain detailed documentation including how-to, implementation procedures and any operations required documentation.

9. Work supportively with colleagues, operating in a collegiate manner at all times and in line with the Company’s values.

Technical Competencies (Experience and Knowledge)

6+ Years of experience as full stack developer.

Hands-on experience in Python language, along with any web development frameworks like Django / TurboGears / Flask / Pyramid.

Hands on experience in UI development technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, along with any frameworks like AngularJS / React / Backbone / Ember, etc.

Good understanding of the database concepts (SQL) and exposure to any database like MySQL / PostgreSQL / SQLite, etc.

Good understanding of the operating system and its concepts, especially on a UNIX based system.

Skills and Behavioral Competencies

Possess strong interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written communication skills.

Analytical problem solver with the ability to use conventional methods for problem identification and resolution.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Completes work in a timely and consistent manner.

Sets and maintains high performance standards.
