Skills, experience, and qualifications: Essential: The candidate should demonstrate an in-depth level of knowledge and understanding of electronic components & principles Develop behavioural and physics-based models of power electronic components (e.G., converters, inverters, filters, magnetics, semiconductors). Develop and validate models of automotive power electronic systems including onboard chargers, DC-DC converters, traction inverters, and battery management systems. Perform system-level simulations using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, PSIM, LTspice, or equivalent. Collaborate with design engineers to validate models against hardware measurements and refine models accordingly. Document modelling methodologies, assumptions, and validation results. Contribute to design reviews and provide insights based on simulation results. Stay updated with the latest modelling techniques, simulation tools, and industry trends. Collaborate with hardware and control teams to integrate models into real-time simulation platforms (e.G., dSPACE, OPAL-RT, Typhoon HIL). Analyse thermal, electrical, and EMI/EMC behaviour of power systems under automotive operating conditions. Support model-based design workflows and contribute to digital twin development for predictive diagnostics and performance optimization. Document modelling methodologies, validation procedures, and simulation results for internal and customer-facing reports. Stay updated with automotive standards (ISO 26262, ASPICE) and ensure compliance in modelling practices Support control algorithm development and integration through co-simulation environments Desirable : Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. 5+ years of experience in modelling and simulation of automotive power electronic systems. Strong proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, PSIM, or similar simulation tools. Solid understanding of automotive power converter topologies and control strategies. Experience with thermal and EMI/EMC modelling in automotive environments. Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN) and embedded systems. Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
