As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be a key contributor to building India's first AI-native housing finance platform. You will have an outsized influence on our backend architecture, data platform, and the core logic that powers our business—from credit decisioning to loan management. We are looking for engineers who think from first principles and are excited to build substantial, high-quality systems.'• Design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient backend services in Python on an AWS-native stack.• Develop the core components of our lending platform, including the Loan Origination System (LOS), Business Rules Engine (BRE), and orchestration layers.• Create robust, clean, and well-documented APIs to be consumed by our React Native applications and external partners.• Develop and deploy agentic AI workflows using tools like Lang Graph and Agents for Amazon Bedrock to automate complex business processes such as reconciliation, intelligent nudges, and workflow orchestration.• Collaborate within a cross-functional "Pod" with product managers, data scientists, and frontend engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.• Implement event-driven, automated workflows that form the backbone of our operational efficiency.• Work closely with the data team to build and manage real-time data pipelines, ensuring our data platform is the single source of truth from Day 1.• Write production-grade, clean code with comprehensive test coverage, focusing on quality and maintainability.'• Deep expertise in Python/Java and a strong command of software engineering principles (e.g., OOPS, SOLID, Design Patterns) to write clean, maintainable, and production-grade code.• Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservice architecture, including event-driven patterns and API-first design• Strong experience with modern web frameworks (e.g., Fast API, Django, Flask, Spring).• Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, Sage Maker, Bedrock).• Proficiency in designing and building RESTful APIs and working with event-driven architectures.• Familiarity with engineering foundations like CI/CD, monitoring, and security best practices.• An "AI-native mindset" with an enthusiasm for leveraging AI tools in the development process.• Excellent communication skills, with an ability to estimate realistically and surface blockers early.• Languages & Frameworks: Python, React/React Native, Lang Graph (for AI Agents).• Cloud & Infrastructure (AWS): Fully AWS-native, leveraging services like Kafka, No SQL, S3, Lambda, Sage Maker, Bedrock, Lake Formation, Glue, Textract, Rekognition, and Transcribe.• Architecture & Principles: API-first, Event-Driven Automation, Modular & Swappable Components, Data Mesh, Medallion Architecture.• Dev Ops & Tools: CI/CD with blue-green deployments, Infrastructure-as-Code (Ia C), Git Hub Copilot, Figma, and Claude CLI.?• Greenfield Work: Design modern systems from scratch, free from the constraints of legacy code.• Outsized Impact: As part of a small, foundational team, your decisions will directly shape our culture, architecture, and customer experience.• Modern Tools: Get access to the best tools to do your job effectively, including Cursor, Claude CLI, Figma, and a modern AWS stack.• Strong Foundation: Join a company with a proven business model, significant capital, and patient investors, allowing us to focus on building for the long term.• Profit with Purpose: Help families in smaller cities achieve homeownership while building a scalable, profitable business.
