We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Team Lead with extensive experience in QuickBooks and Xero . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, excellent leadership skills, and a solid understanding of cloud-based accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:
·        Lead, mentor, and supervise the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
·        Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and taxes.
·        Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reporting.
·        Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings for AUS/US
·        Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements.
·        Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the company’s general ledger.
·        Review and reconcile balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
·        Use QuickBooks or Xero for financial data management, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date..
·        Collaborate with the finance department to streamline accounting procedures and improve operational efficiency.
·        Monitor and manage cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.
·        Provide leadership in ensuring compliance with internal financial controls.
·        Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
·        Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
·        Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
·        Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
·        Assist in budgeting and financial planning activities.
·        Provide training/Support/hiring in financial departments.
Qualifications/Requirements:
·        Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
·        Professional certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is a plus.
·        Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 1 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
·        Proficiency in QuickBooks and/or Xero is required.
·        Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
·        Experience with tax compliance and payroll processes.
·        Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
·        Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
·        Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
·        Familiarity with other accounting software and tools is a plus.
