WooCommerce Developer

Responsibilities: 

• Development of client solutions 
• Reviewing technical requirements and adapting those into a WooCommerce application. 
• Engaging with end- users to fully understand client expectations. 
• Requirement analysis, database design, coding, testing, implementation and maintenance of WooCommerce and associated software applications. 
• Managing technical delivery of integrations and custom extensions. 
• Providing hands- on support in development, design, independent analysis and problem resolution. 
• Setup, configuration, customization, data Migration and deployment of WooCommerce applications. 
• Working on quick prototyping for proof of concepts during development of new business with new or existing clients 

Requirements

The Essentials: 

• Ideally educated to Degree level.  
• Self-driven, with an aptitude to learn and open to work across E-Commerce platforms. 
• Overall, at least 4 years of experience in which a minimum 2 years of experience developing on the WooCommerce platform including: 

• Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks (such as Wordpress, Laravel, Symfony, etc depending on your technology stack) 
• Proficient in PHP, MySQL, Javascript, HTML5, and CSS3. 

• Knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming 
• Hands-on experience in Integrating with REST and SOAP based Web Services. 
• Produce code that is easy to read and understand.  
• Create good unit tests that provide more than just code coverage  
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git 

The nice to have: 

• Knowledge in other ecommerce platform like Prestashop, Opencart, Magento, Shopify, Commercetools, Bigcommerce etc will be preferred.
