Our founders are based in Texas, USA, and we are on a mission to transform the job search experience.Job DescriptionWe’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong Dev Ops skills with 4 years of experience to join our growing product and engineering team. You’ll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend services, while also ensuring smooth deployment processes and infrastructure management.This is a hands-on, cross-functional role where you’ll work closely with product managers, frontend developers, and other stakeholders to bring product ideas to life, while maintaining a robust and secure infrastructure.Note: Please only apply after reading the whole JD and if you meet the criteria.Key Responsibilities• Architect, develop and maintain Node.js‑based APIs and microservices using Type Script and Express.js• Containerize services with Docker and deploy/manage them on Kubernetes clusters• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Actions• Integrate and operate AWS services: Lambda, S3, Cloud Front, IAM, Event Bridge, ECR, RDS (Postgre SQL), Elasti Cache (Redis)• Design real‑time features using Socket.io and work with Mongo DB and Postgre SQL data stores• Implement and enforce unit/integration testing with Jest• Integrate payment (Stripe), search (Algolia), notifications (Firebase)• Implement observability solutions with Prometheus, Loki, Open Telemetry, and Sentry• Integrate AI services and build generative AI features using Open AI and similar platforms• Troubleshoot production issues and perform performance tuningRequired Qualifications• 4+ years professional backend experience in Node.js• Strong Type Script knowledge and experience in type-safe application development• Experience with containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes• AWS proficiency: Lambda, S3, Cloud Front, IAM, Event Bridge, ECR, RDS, Elasti Cache• Solid database skills in Postgre SQL and Mongo DB• Expertise in RESTful API design and microservices patterns• CI/CD experience (Git Hub Actions, Terraform, Ansible)• Proficient in Jest and testing methodologies• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skillsNice‑to‑Have• Experience with AI integrations, particularly Open AI APIs and generative AI models• Python knowledge for data processing and AI model integration• Go (Golang) experience for high-performance microservices• Graph QL experience• Rabbit MQ or similar message‑broker knowledge• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana dashboards• Security best practices: OWASP, IAM policies• Serverless design patterns• Contributions to open‑source or technical publications• Experience hosting and managing Strapi CMSSkillsCore Languages & Frameworks• Node.js, Express.js• Type Script (strong knowledge required)• Java Script (ES6+)• Python (beneficial)• Go/Golang (plus)Databases & Persistence• Postgre SQL• Mongo DB• Redis• Rabbit MQCloud & Infrastructure• AWS services• Docker & Kubernetes• CI/CD: Git Hub ActionsAI & Integrations• Open AI API integration• Generative AI implementation• Socket.io• Third-party APIs (Stripe, Revenuecat, Algolia, Firebase)Testing & Monitoring• Jest• Prometheus, Loki, Open Telemetry, SentryBenefitsFully remote position offering flexibility and work-life balance.Opportunity to work with a talented and diverse team from around the globe.Room for career advancement and skill development.Competitive compensation package of $1800 USD per month.If you have a passion for ensuring the quality of software applications and are eager to contribute to the success of go2work, please apply with your latest resume.
