Job Description HIDS Integration Engineer

Position: HIDS Integration Engineer

Grade/Level DM/ M

Reporting to: Platform Lead Cloud Security

Employment Type : Employee - Full Time

Work Location: Mumbai

Key Focus area : HIDS Integration Engineer

Key Responsibilities :

Responsibilities:

Roll out of HIDs (JSAMP/Wazuh) Agent on DMZ and Production servers in JFS/Cloud Infra.

Preparation of HIDs Reports, troubleshooting and maintenance of KPIs of HIDS solution

Strong understanding of enterprise, network, system and application level security issues

Must have knowledge on Host-based Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (HIDS/HIPS)

Hands on Create custom IDS/IPS signatures based on new threats and adversary Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures

Should be able to handle Problem, Change and Incident Management

Linux-based and MS Windows-based system platforms with a strong IT technical understanding.

Understanding of enterprise computing environments, distributed applications, and a strong understanding of TCP/IP networks

Basic Knowledge/understanding of encryption technologies

Create and use powershell / unix scripts to automate repetitive tasks and streamline operational activities with automation.

Knowledge of File Integrity Monitoring

Work experience in managing the open ticket related to HIDS task

Qualification and Work Experience

Qualification : B.E./B.Tech/MCA

Work experience : 3-8 Years

Possess technical knowledge of IDS/IPS with at least 1+ years of experience in rule/parser development.

Well versed in tuning/designing of correlation rules to reduce the false positives and to generate the alerts/offenses/notifications for the attacks, security violations and any deviation in the traffic/flow.

Knowledge in one or more Security information and event monitoring tools

able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

Competencies /Expertise Required (Functional & Behavioral)

  • Systematic problem-solving skills, with the ability to think.
  • Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.
  • Adaptable to change.
  • Quick Learner Open learn and work on new technologies and products
