Job Summary:
The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with hospital policies and professional nursing standards. The role includes patient assessment, planning and implementing nursing care, administering medication, and monitoring patient progress, while ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients.
- Monitor patient vital signs and medical conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Assist in diagnostic tests and medical procedures.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Clinical Duties
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and charts.
- Collaborate with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure infection control and hygiene protocols are followed.
- Operate and monitor medical equipment.
- Administrative and Documentation
- Complete nursing documentation and reports accurately.
- Participate in nursing rounds and handover reports.
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Teamwork and Communication
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Report any changes in patient condition to senior medical staff promptly.
- Professional Development
- Attend training sessions and continuing education programs.
- Maintain nursing license and certifications.
- Follow ethical and professional standards of nursing care.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Registered Nurse with a valid license.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Hospital.
