Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced mental health clinician to join the Noogal Clinic. About Northern Health: Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north. Services are provided through our five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital.  In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg. About Mental Health Division: Northern Health is the third largest mental health service in Victoria Northern. Within the Mental Health Division, we pride ourselves on providing high quality mental health services to people living in the northern regions of Melbourne, and work in a collaborative way with consumers and carers based on recovery principles. We aim to provide strong clinical leadership to support all staff in the provision of professional treatment and care by our integrated community teams, inpatient, and residential services.  This role is a full time fixed term contract until 4th October 2026. About the Role: The Mental Health Clinician will provide specialist support to young people and adults experiencing complex mental health needs, while working in close partnership with their families and carers. Central to the role is the recognition that mental health is closely connected to physical wellbeing. The clinician will therefore address metabolic monitoring compliance and address comorbidities such as substance use, smoking, and sexual health by collaborating with nurse practitioners, community services, and specialist providers to deliver care that is integrated and holistic. Alongside managing a caseload, the clinician will act as the primary point of contact within the community team, ensuring consistency, reliability, and support for consumers and their families. Outreach will also be a core component of the position, with proactive engagement in community settings designed to enhance access, strengthen therapeutic relationships, and promote recovery.
