3D Generalist

We are seeking a talented and experienced 3D Generalist with 3 to 6 years of experience to join our creative team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering using Autodesk 3ds Max and V-Ray rendering engine.

As a 3D Generalist, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D assets, environments, and animations for various projects across industries such as gaming, architecture, advertising, and film.

Key Responsibilities:

3D Modeling and Texturing:

- Create detailed 3D models of objects, characters, environments, and props using Autodesk 3ds Max.

- Apply UV mapping and texture painting techniques to create realistic textures, materials, and surface finishes.

Lighting and Rendering:

- Set up lighting rigs and scenes to achieve realistic lighting and shadows using V-Ray rendering engine.

- Adjust camera settings, exposure, and render settings to produce high-quality renders with optimal lighting and composition.

Animation and Rigging:

- Rig characters and objects for animation using biped rigs, CAT rigs, or custom rigs in 3ds Max.

- Create and animate dynamic camera movements, object animations, and character animations to bring scenes to life.

Particle Effects and Dynamics:

- Create particle effects such as smoke, fire, water, and explosions using particle systems and dynamics simulations.

- Simulate physics-based interactions and dynamics for realistic motion and behavior of objects within scenes.

Compositing and Post-Production:

- Composite rendered elements, layers, and passes using compositing software such as Adobe After Effects or Nuke.

- Enhance renders with post-production effects, color grading, and visual effects to achieve desired look and feel.

Collaboration and Project Management:

- Collaborate with art directors, designers, and other team members to understand project requirements and objectives.

- Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work within budget constraints.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Animation, Visual Effects, Computer Graphics, or related field.

- 3 to 6 years of experience as a 3D Generalist, Animator, or similar role, with a strong focus on Autodesk 3ds Max and V-Ray.

- Proficiency in 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering techniques using 3ds Max and V-Ray.

- Experience with animation principles, rigging, and character animation workflows.

- Knowledge of particle systems, dynamics simulations, and visual effects techniques.

- Familiarity with compositing software such as Adobe After Effects, Nuke, or Fusion.

- Strong artistic skills, creativity, and attention to detail.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
