The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in database administration, migration strategies, and performance optimization, ensuring a seamless transition with minimal downtime.Key ResponsibilitiesDatabase Migration: Plan and execute the migration of databases from Oracle (11g/12c/19c) to Postgre SQL (12+), including schema, data, and logic conversionCode Refactoring: Convert and optimize PL/SQL code to PL/pg SQL, ensuring functional equivalency and performance improvements.Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize database performance post-migration, addressing issues related to query performance, indexing, and data retrievalRequired Skills & QualificationsExperience: Minimum of 3–8 years in database migration and administration, with a focus on Oracle to Postgre SQL migrationsDatabase Proficiency: Strong command of SQL, PL/SQL, and PL/pg SQL.Migration Tools: Experience with tools like ora2pg, pg Loader, AWS DMS, and Flyway.Performance Optimization: Proficiency in Postgre SQL performance tuning, indexing, and replication
